Preparing For Data Import
To get all your leads on Inside Sales Box, you first Click on Leads tab. Now you are in the lead management page. From here, click on Import Leads at the top-right.This will take you to the lead import page; click the Upload CSV File button to select the spreadsheet that you wish to upload.
Most of the sales tools demand a pre-defined CSV template for importing leads into the system, however, with Inside Sales Box, you need not worry about your CSV file format. You may use any file format as explained in field mapping below.
Now, that you have uploaded the CSV file, you are in the mapping field area. Inside Sales Box allows an intelligent field mapping process that automatically associates the data with their corresponding fields. For example, an ‘Email’ field in the spreadsheet will be automatically mapped with the ‘Email id’ in Inside Sales Box. However, you also have the option to select the fields from our list that correspond to the data fields imported. Map the unmapped column fields of your spreadsheet to their corresponding fields on the CRM. Mapping custom fields is a great way to ensure that all your custom lead fields data are carefully mapped.
Duplicate leads can often lead to a stage where you end up in calling the same lead twice and will make it extremely difficult to manage the relationship with the prospects. What is great about Inside Sales Box is that it helps you to prevent the occurrence of duplicate leads in the CRM.
Click Proceed to Check Duplicates. Select the fields for checking the duplicate records. Here, you can check the duplicates that match as per First Name and Phone No/ Email Id fields. After that, click Proceed. If the search comes up with duplicate records then you can manage them in four possible ways.
- Skip Duplicates
- Override Duplicates
- Fill Incomplete Data
- Update Duplicates
Once you are done with the process of finding dupes in the system, you get a brief summary of all the imported leads.To verify the process, move back to the Leads tab, you will be able to see the leads that you just imported in the lead list view.
When you have a bulk of leads on the CRM, you find it difficult to classify them. In order to manage them properly, you can categorize the leads based on lead tags which are system based or custom. These tags will help you search a set of leads based on the defined criteria.
